Masked Delivery was made in a weekend for the Global Game Jam 2026, on the theme of masks. You drive a delivery car. Each run starts in the car as the phone rings: from the caller’s voice or number you must guess the danger and pick the right mask from the dashboard. Then the engine starts and you dodge traffic.

The twist: a wrong mask, or a difficult passenger, gives you a penalty that changes how the game plays. They stack, and you carry them into the next day.

How it works

Penalties are felt, not read. Drunk swaps left and right; Smelly covers the screen in green fog; others shake, blur, wave or split the view. Each one is a small piece that changes the controls, the screen or both, so the team could keep adding new ones all weekend.

What I took from it

  • In a game jam, the best investment is a way to add things cheaply: when the next idea costs one file, a weekend produces a lot of ideas.
